I always forget how pretty the XK looks...so nice.

And lastly a picture I took last night of my car next to a TRD Pro 4runner for comparison.

When I got out, the two salespeople look at me and say “headed to parts?”

“yup”

Then I hear the one turn to the other and say more quietly “Those are so nice, you’ll never see one of those coming in for a trade.” He might be right

My wife is in private practice, but she does surgery at hospitals. She always looks for the most expensive car in the doctor lot, usually an S63 or a 750, and parks right next to it. In her lifted, topless, doorless, covered in so much mud you can’t tell what color it is, Jeep wrangler. Most people know it’s hers, but a new security guard didn’t and tried telling her she had to leave. And he wasn’t nice about it. She said he turned white as a ghost when she showed him her doctor ID.

I still think the refresh was enough to keep it ahead of the f-type for me. Plus, only car that is seductive, brutal, refined, and trashy all at the same time.

I usually park my Mustang (summer) or muddy and dented XJ (winter) in the never-ending row of black or grey 5-series in the doctor’s lot at work (I’m a pediatrician) - and I either get a “nice-car” or a wary stare from the security folks.

Completely unrelated post, but were you driving through OKC today at around 2:45ish? I saw a black Jetta Sportwagen TDI with Utah plates and figured it might have been you lol
